The meeting of the Governing Board of Wright Technical Center, School District 966, was held on Tuesday April 6, 2021 at 1405 3rd Ave. NE, Buffalo, Minnesota 55313.
Members Present: Steffens, Sixberry, Mealey, Curtis, Buffalo Alternate Sansevere, Bravinder, Benson, Gierke.
Others Present: Brian Koslofsky-Executive Director, Shaun Karson-Principal, Anh Glewwe-Business Manager, Dana Watters-Administrative Assistant.
The meeting was called to order by Member Mealey at 6:31 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Agenda Review
On motion by Alternate Sansevere, second by Member Curtis, the agenda was approved as presented. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Consent Agenda
On motion by Member Sixberry, second by Member Curtis, the consent agenda was amended to add item 5.4. The agenda was approved as presented. 5.1 March 2 regular meeting, 5.2 Bills for Payment, 5.3 Letter of resignation of PAES Instructor, 5.4 Letter of resignation of Health Science Instructor.
Financial Report
Business Manager Glewwe reported on the current finances. On motion by Member Bravinder, second by Member Sixberry, the financial report was approved as presented. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Principal Report
Principal Karson reported on parent/teacher conferences, future meetings, 2021-22 enrollment, Big Lake schedule change, scholarships, program updates, ACT testing, WLC Spring activities and summer school.
Director’s Report
Director Koslofsky discussed the 2021-22 proposed calendar, WTC student management system, sale of the
student built house, facilities and finance updates, attended and upcoming meetings and activities.
Facility Committee Meeting
Member Sixberry reported on the finance meeting.
New Business
• On motion by Member Sixberry, second by Member Benson, to accept the bid for the 20-21 student built house as presented. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
• On motion by Alternate Sansevere second by Member Curtis, for adjournment. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Meeting was adjourned at 7:36pm.
