Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association annual meeting rescheduled

WRIGHT COUNTY, MN — Due to forecasted heavy snow and high wind April 11, Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association (WH)’s Annual Meeting has been rescheduled to May 2, 2019.

WH cordially invites all members to the cooperative’s 82nd Annual Meeting. The event will be hosted at WH’s headquarters located at 6800 Electric Drive in Rockford.

Registration begins at 4 p.m. with a complimentary pork chop dinner served from 4:30 to 6:45 p.m. Multiple informational booths are available for members to enjoy along with plenty of activities for all ages. A prize drawing will follow a short business meeting which starts at 7 p.m. Free parking is available at WH, the Rockford Mall, Our Father’s Lutheran Church and the Industrial Park with shuttles busing members to and from the event.

Business Meeting

            This year’s theme is “Keeping costs down together.” Information on the cooperative’s performance in 2018 will be shared by CFO Brain Swanson, WH Board Chairman Erick Heinz, WH Holding Board Chairman Timothy Young and WH Holding COO Wendy Youngren. WH President and CEO Tim Sullivan will discuss how WH continues to fulfill the mission of delivering the power, products and competitive pricing essential to the quality of life for the members and communities it serves.

Results of Director elections in Districts 4, 6 and 8 will be announced at the end of the meeting. The grand prize drawing of a 2008 Chevy ½ ton 4×4 retired truck from WH’s fleet will follow the business meeting. Members are automatically registered for the grand prize given away at the end of the business meeting and must be present to win. Members can also enter to win an array of prizes at many featured booths. All registered members will receive a free pound of butter at the end of the business meeting.

Free events and activities

  • A local Girl Scout troop will share fun activities and crafts for children ages 2-10 from 4:30 to 8 p.m. All children registered in the children’s area will be entered to win one of four children’s bicycles.
  • Bingo will be available from 4:30 to 6:45 p.m. with numerous prizes.
  • Informational booths with prize drawings.
