Wright County public hearing: emergency moratorium on solar energy farms

NOTICE OF INTENT TO
ORDAIN AND TO ADOPT
EMERGENCY INTERIM ZONING
ORDINANCE INSTITUTING AN EMERGENCY MORATORIUM ON SOLAR ENERGY FARMS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Wright County Board of Commissioners, during its regular meeting on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at 9:30 A.M., will hold a public hearing to consider ordaining and adopting an emergency interim zoning ordinance instituting an emergency moratorium on solar energy farms.  This consideration and discussion will take place in the Commissioners’ Board Room at the Wright County Government Center, Buffalo, Minnesota at 10 2nd Street N.W., Buffalo, MN 55313.
The Wright County Board of Commissioners will be reviewing and discussing a proposal to institute an emergency moratorium, for up to twelve months, for solar energy farms.  The Wright County Board of Commissioners upon the adoption of any moratorium will undertake a process to study and conduct hearings on amending or adopting official controls relating to solar energy farms.
Written comments must be submitted to Wright County Planning and Zoning at 10 2nd Street N.W., Rm 140, Buffalo, MN 55313.
