Winsted youth raises funds ‘so the world may hear’

WINSTED, MN – Thirteen-year-old Lucas Morang of Winsted is showing others that it’s possible for one person to make a world of difference, at any age.

Since 2007, Morang has managed to raise a total of $22,000 for the Starkey Hearing Foundation so that others can have what Morang calls the “miracle of hearing” – something he personally experienced when he got his first hearing aid at age 4.

Photo: At last year’s Starkey Hearing Foundation Gala in July, Lucas Morang of Winsted met former President Bill Clinton, and singer Miley Cyrus, and had his picture taken with each of them. He had his favorite photo (with Cyrus) framed. The medallion Morang is wearing is for being a Starkey Hearing Foundation poster youth.
