Winsted to explore hotel options

WINSTED, MN – One item on the agenda for the Tuesday, Sept. 5 Winsted City Council meeting is to consider hiring Hospitality Consulting Group to complete a hotel feasibility study update, at a cost not to exceed $4,000.

The meeting will start at 6 p.m. in the council chambers.

Beforehand, a work session will take place at 4 p.m. in the Lewis Room. The meeting will be closed to the public from 4:45 to 5:15 p.m. while the council discusses the “purchase or sale of real or personal property.”

Here we go again, I can tell you that Winsted probably needs a hotel, there I did it for nothing, save the $4000. Now the problem who is going to pay for a Hotel?

    You know, why do we have city staff on the public payroll? Why do we have to pay for them AND then have to pay all of these outside consultants for every little thing? Doesn’t the council have any confidence in them to do the job right? Here is just one question for the city staff-How much is being spent this year for outside consultants and studies?
