Winsted Council to hear assessment regarding senior housing

WINSTED, MN – Winsted City Council, during its first meeting of the year Jan. 2, will hear an initial demand assessment for senior housing.

Other items on the agenda include approval of the city’s fee schedule for 2019, information regarding the McLeod County Historical Partnership, and approval of annual appointments. There will be a workshop session at 5 p.m., followed by the regular meeting at 6 p.m.

    I am in favor for the Winsted City Council to consider and vote in favor of senior housing. After talking with many local Winsted residents; especially seniors 60 and over such a myself, having a new senior housing choice would keep us here in town, and also bring back seniors who may have had to move out of town, due to the lack of a Winsted senior housing option.
