Winsted council approves formal assessment policy

WINSTED, MN – There were no questions asked by those attending the informational hearing on Winsted’s proposed assessment policy Tuesday at the city council meeting. City Administrator Brent Mareck took the time to explain the policy in some detail telling residents it was a way to distribute public improvement costs fairly throughout the community. The special assessment policy for the City of Winsted was approved by the council unanimously. Council members Tom Ollig and Tom Wiemiller were not present.
