Winners of St. John’s chili showcase announced

WINSTED, MN – Three Winsted pastors, Fr. Tony Hesse of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Pastor Tom Starkjohn of Harvest Community Church, and Pastor Mark Loder of St. John’s Lutheran Church, had the difficult task of choosing only three winners from 35 different chili entries at St. John’s Lutheran Church’s first annual Chili Showdown March 14. The first place winner of two Winstock tickets was Connie Dehn of Norwood Young America. Two $50 gift certificates to Glenn’s Super Valu were awarded for second place to Bill Pierson of Silver Lake, and the third place winner Janice Brooks of Winsted won a $30 gift certificate to the Roadhouse Coffee Shop.
