Wildcats headed to Class B state tournament

MAPLE LAKE, MN – In a thriller, the Winsted Wildcats beat the St. Michael Saints 11-10 Wednesday in Section 8B action. Winsted scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth to pull out the win.

With the win, the Wildcats locked up a trip to the Class B state tournament, and will next be in action Saturday, August 14 at Maple Lake at 2 p.m. in the Section 8B championship game.

State tournament action for Winsted begins Sunday, Aug. 22 at Bird Island starting at either 5 or 7:30 p.m.
