HOWARD LAKE, MN – The Howard Lake City Council has taken time during its last three workshops to discuss what improvements should be made at Memorial Park. The most recent plan reviewed by the council would repair a sanitary sewer leak below the parking lot, and re-pave the area where the repair was made. The plan also calls for playground equipment to be moved from the area most prone to flooding during heavy rains, and re-grading the park to allow for better water flow. The total cost of this option is approximately $11,000.

Three other options have been presented to the council at past workshops, ranging in cost from $63,000 to $145,000. Read “To fix – or just improve – HL’s Memorial Park,” which was published a few weeks ago, to learn more about those options.
