WestSide Skydivers in Winsted gave man a ride to remember

skydivingblogWINSTED, MN – Joe Johnson, owner of WestSide Skydivers, gave Ron Bermel a ride to remember Tuesday. Bermel, 58, of Eden Prairie, was diagnosed with Alzheimers five years ago. Bermel does recall enjoying skydiving back 25 years ago and as a father’s day gift his wife, Sue, and daughter, Emily, gave him the chance to experience that feeling again.  They talked with Johnson and set up the date and time. Bermel had the opportunity to back out before getting suited up but said, “I am a dare devil and like the feeling of free falling. I want to feel that again today.”  The photos and video of the jump were given to Bermel as a gift from Johnson to help him remember the moment.
