WAVERLY- At a meeting this evening, May 12, the Waverly City Council struggled to make a decision about the fate of this year’s Waverly Daze celebration.
After a lengthy discussion, the council did regretfully decide to cancel the town celebration.
The council also agreed to use an already-contracted fireworks show on a Friday or Saturday night in August, pending vendor availability, and social distancing rules at the time.
