WATERTOWN, MAYER, MN – The Thursday, Dec. 10 announcements for Watertown-Mayer High School are as follows:
Butterbraids can be picked up today from 3-7:30, they need to stay frozen so pick up ASAP.
The representative from Minnesota State university Moorhead will be here on December 17th at 11:15 AM. Sign up in Student Services at least a day before the visit.
Youth basketball officials practice is for Thursday, December 10th for freshman, sophomore and junior girls only. Practice is at the middle school and starts at 7 o’clock.
The student council is sponsoring toys for tots this week and is ending Friday the 18th. Kick off the holiday season by bringing in new or gently used toys to your first block class.
The school to work meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday, December 16th, 1st enrichment in the career center. Pick up a pass from Marsha or Ms. Johnson.
NHS meeting has been rescheduled for 2nd enrichment December 16th.
Whoever brought their graduation order to the office Wednesday morning should please come to the office.
Locker Decorating Contest: In the spirit of the holidays the student council would like everyone to participate in a locker-decorating contest. The judging will be on Monday December 21st and the results will be announced on Tuesday the 22nd. So gather your gift-wrap and show your creative side to win some “sweet” prizes!
The Watertown-Mayer FFA chapter has adopted a Watertown family of 5 to provide gifts for this holiday season. All FFA members are encouraged to donate money for this family. Please give all donations to Mrs. Knott by Monday December 14th.
The FFA will also be helping serve a holiday meal to senior citizens at the Watertown Community Center on Tuesday December 15th at 3:15. Sing up in room 218 if you would like to help.
Seniors are reminded to turn in Graduation Announcement and Cap and Gown order forms to the high school office. Group order deadline date is Wednesday, December 16th.
Each year the Minnesota State High School League gives high schools the opportunity to choose a junior boy and girl as Excel Award Winners. The award is given primarily in recognition of outstanding leadership and service to others in the school and community. We are pleased to announce that Kevin Barth and Ashley Escher are this year’s Watertown-Mayer High School Excel Award Winners. Congratulations to both Kevin and Ashley on this well deserved honor.
