Watertown man involved in two-vehicle traffic crash in Southwest MN

WORTHINGTON, MN – - A man from the Watertown was involved in a two-vehicle crash with injuries this week in southwest Minnesota. According to the Minnesota State Patrol the accident occurred the morning of Dec. 29 around 10:45 a.m., a Chevy passenger car and a Ford F550 truck collided on Highway 59 north of Worthington.

Authorities say the sedan was southbound, while the truck was northbound on Highway 59 when the vehicles collided. Officials report that the roads were snow and ice covered at the time of the crash.

Injured in the crash was the driver of the passenger car, 71-year-old Doreen Braun of Sibley, Iowa. She was taken to the Sanford Hospital in Worthington with non-life threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the truck, 37-year-old Michael Maguire of Watertown was not injured.

The Nobles County Sheriff’s Office, the Brewster Fire Department, and the Fulda and Sanford EMS teams assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
