Want to win the Winsted holiday lighting contest?

If you live in Winsted, make sure your Christmas lights are turned on by 6 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, Dec. 5. Some members of the Winsted Area Chamber of Commerce and St. Mary’s seniors will be riding around town judging which holiday outdoor lighting display will win, first place – $50, second place – $30, and third place $20, in Winsted Bucks. Also, do not forget this weekend is the Winsted Winter Festival which begins Friday. The Winsted Library’s silent auction begins Friday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. Friday evening the Land of Lakes Choirboys will perform at St. John’s Church at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10. Saturday is filled with family kinds of entertainment and Santa Claus will be at the Legion from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the children. The evening parade is to begin at 6:30 p.m.
