Voters authorize Lester Prairie School District to transfer funds

LESTER PRAIRIE, MN – The unofficial results of Lester Prairie School District’s special election are in, and voters have authorized the district to transfer $755,446 in remaining bond proceeds to be used for school improvements including a sprinkler system, asbestos abatement, and roof repairs.

According to Superintendent Mike McNulty, the vote, which took place today, was 82 percent “yes” and 18 percent “no,” with 14 percent of registered, plus new voters voting.
