Unbelted Waverly woman injured in crash

BUFFALO, MN – A Waverly woman was injured when the vehicle she was riding in was involved in a crash at 3:57 p.m. Saturday.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 1999 Honda Accord driven by Victor Hernandez DeJesus, 23, of Waverly, was eastbound on Highway 55 in Buffalo. A 1998 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Benjamin Petri, 28, of Buffalo, was southbound on Second Street, had a green light, and T-boned the accord in the front left quarter panel.

Rosa Moralez, Nazario, 28, of Waverly, was not wearing a seat belt, according to the State Patrol, and was tossed in the vehicle on impact. She was transported to Buffalo Hospital with noncritical injuries.

All others, including two other passengers in the Accord, were wearing seat belts and were not injured.

Road conditions were dry and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to the State Patrol.
