Two Lester Prairie students give Governor’s Pheasant Opener a shot

governors.pheasant.hunt.mnLESTER PRAIRIE, MN – Two top shooters from Lester Prairie High School’s trapshooting league had their sights set on the 2013 Governor’s Pheasant Opener, which took place in Madelia Oct. 12.

Stephanie Lohse (daughter of Glen and Debra Lohse) and Blair Jilek (son of Sheila Jilek) were selected to attend because of their team’s conference win last spring. Trapshooting coach Mike Bjork was also invited.

“We got to hunt on newly acquired public land,” Bjork said. “The kids and I also had an opportunity to meet Governor Mark Dayton and have our picture taken with him.”
