There is a track meet on Thursday at St. Thomas Academy.  The bus leaves at 1:45.  Please dismiss athletes at
1:35.

Both games were 5 innings. Rachel Heuer threw a one Hitter with 5 strikeouts and no walks.

Thursday’s junior high baseball game will be played back to back.  The 7th grade will start at 4:30 and the 8th
grade will follow.

Will the following students see Mr. Bjork today:  Garrett Schultz, Sally Krull, Morgan Roush, Krista Lange,
Brenna Messer, Miranda Buesing, Peyton Thiry, & Alex Kaluza

Elementary Basketball Camp Form for next year’s 1st through 6th graders (Boys and Girls) was sent home with
the students this week.  The camp will be held June 11-14.  The camp will be held at Holy Trinity Gym due to
remodeling at LP Schools.

Basketball Players Grades 7-12 (boys and girls):  The Mini Camp Forms and Bulldog Breakfast Club forms are
in the LP School Office for you to pick up.  Work on your basketball skills this summer.  All camps will be held
at Holy Trinity Gym due to remodeling in LP Schools this summer.

If you would like a prom video, there are order forms available in the office.  Please return the order form and
payment to the LPHS office by Friday, May 4.  A DVD is $15.00 and checks should be made payable to Troy
Feltmann.

The Elementary Student Council will meet on Thursday, May 3 from 11:00-12:00 at the home of Mrs. Lukens.

Tallon Schwantes, Andrew Jackson, Arlene Nowak and Callie Sebora will be on a Future Problem Solving
fieldtrip on Tuesday, May 8th from 12:00-3:00 p.m.

9-12 FB players. The fundraising clothing form is due on the same day as your camp form. I believe it says that
those orders are due, Monday, April 23. That is a mistake.  Thanks!

$40.00 if this is your first non-athletic activity
$25.00 if this is your 2nd or 3rd non-athletic activity

There is a cheerleading sign-up sheet in the office.  You must be signed up by Tuesday, May 8th.  Cheerleading
is open to students in grades 9-12 during the 2012-2013 school year.

Lost:  A pink ballet shoe, size 2, was lost at the dance recital.  If you see it or have it, please return it to the
office.  Thank you for your help!

Knowledge Bowl Participants:  The Knowledge bowl informal banquet will be Sunday, May 6 at 5:30 p.m. at
the Pizza Ranch in Glencoe.  The buffet will be available at a cost of $10.50 per person.  Family members are
welcome to attend!

There will be a pancake breakfast on Sunday, May 6th from 7:30 am to noon at the Winsted Legion.  They will
be serving Blueberry Pancakes, Scrambled Eggs, Sausages, Coffee, Juice and Milk.  Proceeds from the
breakfast will be used for new uniforms for the Legion Baseball Team.  There will be a free will offering at the
door for the uniforms.

The mechanical people will be at school every evening this week until 8:30 p.m.  They will be cutting pipes in
the tunnels and in the classrooms.  It will be noisy!!!!

Students who have obtained their driving instruction permit need to see Mr. Bjork to get on the Behind The
Wheel schedule.

Junior Class:  The fundraiser items from Club’s Choice will be delivered on Tuesday, May 8th during 1st and 2nd
hour.  These items are frozen so you must make arrangements to get them home at that time.

The next free lunch will be on Wednesday, May 9th at St. Peter’s Church.  The menu includes sub sandwiches,
brownies, milk and lemonade.

Reminder – No student is permitted to ride in a vehicle between 8:15 am – 3:15 pm without permission from the
office.  This permission slip will be kept on file.

Seniors:  If you are going to be visiting colleges, please be sure to fill out the College Visit Form from Mrs.
Mattson at least two days prior to your visit.  Thank you!

Driver’s Education students:  For those that signed up for the June class if you want to purchase a printed copy
of the Minnesota Driver’s Manual, you  need to bring Mr. Bjork an additional $8.00.  Many of you already paid
for one but some missed that in the registration form.  You need to either purchase a book from me or print out
the PDF file from the Dept. of Public Safety website.  See Mr. Bjork if you have questions.

Detention will be with Mrs. Helland the week of April 30th the week of May 7th.  Detention will only be after
school on Mondays and Wednesdays during these two weeks.

Homework Help is available for grades 2-12 in the media center from 3-4 p.m. on Tues., Wed., and Thurs.

CONGRATULATIONS to our Regional Science Fair participants.  We had a very successful day.  Maggie
Piehl, Elizabeth Krienke, Callie Sebora, and the team of Ellenya Urzendowski, Myranda Hentges, and Emily
Rademacher earned Grand Champion ribbons.  Maggie Piehl & Elizabeth Krienke also earned an invitation to
the State Science Fair.  Tallon Schwantes, Kayla Weinzierl, Daphne Scheidel and the team of Jack Widmer &
William McBee earned 1st Place Blue Ribbons.  The team of Zach Jackson & Jason Zimprich earned a 2nd
Place Red Ribbon.  You all did an AWESOME job. – Mr. Bjork

Varsity Softball at Barrett in Winsted at 3:15 , 8th Grade at Southview Winsted and 7Th grade at Lester Prairie.

Tomorrow’s varsity softball game against PACT will be played in Winsted, not Lester Prairie.

The junior class and advisors would like to thank everyone who made Prom 2012 a successful and wonderful
evening.  We’d especially like to thank our parents and the After Prom Party Committee for a fantastic job of
decorating and an amazing party!  We appreciate your hard work and dedication to making this a fun and safe
night for all of us.  Special thanks to Mr. Neubarth for the very powerful and moving speech.  Also, thank to our
MCs, Taylor Ziermann and Spencer Radtke, for an outstanding job.  Thanks to Lisa Feltmann and the beautiful
flowers for our MC and speaker.  Thanks to Troy Feltmann for videotaping the entire evening and for the
amazing video and music during the Grand March.  Thanks to Courtney Scoblic, Emily Schnaser, Danielle
Lohse and Kaylan Roush for handing out programs.  Finally, we’d like to thank everyone who had a hand in
making our Prom 2012 an amazing and memorable evening.  We appreciate you!

The junior class advisors would also like to thank all of the prom attendees for your outstanding behavior; what
an awesome group of young ladies and gentlemen!  It was a pleasure to chaperone such a fine group.  Well done

The LP After Prom Party Committee would like to compliment all the students who attended the all night party
at school.   All the students were well behaved, polite and gracious.  What a great group of kids!  You should be

The LP After-Prom Party would like to thank all the adults who helped throughout the week and on Saturday

Today’s (Thursday) varsity baseball game time has been changed to 7:30 pm. at Minnetonka High School.  Bus
departure times from HT and LP haven’t been made yet.

The LPHS Junior Class and the LP After Prom Party Committee would like to invite the students, staff and
community members to the Prom Grand March.  It is Saturday, April 28 at 3:30 p.m. in the school gymnasium.

Congratulations Girls 8th Grade Softball Team! Beating Hutchinson 14-6 in the first game and 6-2 in the

Congratulations to the JV Softball Team on their 24-0 win over West Lutheran.   Also, congratulations to the JV
Baseball Team on their 9-6 win over West Lutheran.

9-12 FB players. The fundraising clothing form is due on the same day as your camp form. I believe it says that
those orders are due, Monday, April 23. That is a mistake.  Thanks!

Spring Play Participants:  Make sure you pay your participation fee.  The charges are:
$40.00 if this is your first non-athletic activity
$25.00 if this is your 2nd or 3rd non-athletic activity

There is a cheerleading sign-up sheet in the office.  You must be signed up by Tuesday, Mary 8th.  Cheerleading
is open to students in grades 9-12 during the 2012-2013 school year.

Attention Prom Attendees:  Lockers will be available for rent at the Mall of America (o the first floor) to store
formal-wear while you go to Nickelodeon Universe.  The cost for locker rental:  $6 for a large locker, $8 or an
extra-large locker, $13 for a jumbo locker.  If you have any question or concerns, please see Ms. Olson.

The LP After Prom Party is still looking for volunteers for the clean up portion of the prom.  Clean up will be
from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Sunday morning.  Please consider helping us out.  Call Kelli at 395-2844 or
Karla at 395-2844.  Thanks.

Knowledge Bowl Participants:  The Knowledge bowl informal banquet will be Sunday, May 6 at 5:30 p.m. at
the Pizza Ranch in Glencoe.  The buffet will be available at a cost of $10.50 per person.  Family members are
welcome to attend!

Students who have obtained their driving instruction permit need to see Mr. Bjork to get on the Behind The
Wheel schedule.

Junior Class:  The fundraiser items from Club’s Choice will be delivered on Tuesday, May 8th during 1st and 2nd
hour.  These items are frozen so you must make arrangements to get them home at that time.

for one but some missed that in the registration form.  You need to either purchase a book from me or print out
the PDF file from the Dept. of Public Safety website.  See Mr. Bjork if you have questions.

Detention will be with Mr. Scoblic the week of April 23rd.
