<p>The guest list for the SnoFest Dance on Friday, Feb. 17th is in the office.  You must sign up your out of school<br />
guests.</p>
<p>The Jr. Cheerleaders will be performing at the SnoFest Coronation on Monday, Feb. 13th.  Jr. Cheerleaders<br />
should be in the library by 6:30 on Monday and should be dressed in black t-shirts and black pants with tennis<br />
shoes.  If they have a black cheer camp t-shirt from a previous year they can wear that.   They should have their<br />
hair in a ponytail or pigtails, if possible.  They will also cheer on Thursday, Feb. 16th at halftime of the boys<br />
varsity basketball game.  Game time is 7:30.  Jr. Cheerleaders will not have to pay to get in to the game, but a<br />
supervising adult will have to pay.  If you have any questions, please call Jill Fiecke at 320-894-7326.</p>
<p>The high school band will be playing for snofest coronation on Monday (Feb. 13) night. Please be in the band<br />
room by 6:50 pm.</p>
<p>Juniors:  Those who sold pizza are invited to our pizza party on Tuesday, February 14th.  Please pay $4.00 to<br />
Morgan by Mon., Feb. 13th.  The party will be during Sr. Lunch in Ms. Olson’s Room.   Bring your own drink.</p>
<p>The library needs your help!  2 workdays have been set to finish organizing the library.  Join us on Sunday,<br />
February 12th from 4:30-7:30pm and Monday, February 20th from 6-9pm.  We need as many volunteers as we<br />
can get!</p>
<p>There is a Track &amp; Field sign-up sheet in the office.</p>
<p>There will be an Elementary Student Council meeting on Friday, Feb. 10 at 1:00 in the FCS Room.</p>

Twenty LPHS students will be heading to Sawyer AFB in Gwinn, Michigan this summer for a mission trip.<br />
They will be hosting a Valentine&#8217;s Dinner on Sunday, February 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. Pauls<br />
Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie.  Tickets can be purchased at the door the day of the dinner.  All proceeds<br />
will go to help fund this Mission Trip.  LPHS students that will be going on this Mission Trip are Alex Kaluza,<br />
Krista Lange, Miranda Buesing, Jacob Paschke, Morgan Roush, Ryan Quast, Peyton Thiry, Zach Roth, Nick<br />
Machemehl, Spencer Radtke, Alex Heigl, Taylor Ziermann, Danielle Lohse, Courtney Scoblic, Emily Schnaer,<br />
Hannah Litzau, Caleb Sebora, Nicole Trettin, Jacob Roth and Mitchell Roth.  The trip is being put together by<br />
Jenna Countrymann, DCE at St. Paul&#8217;s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie.  The trip will be led by Jenna and her<br />
husband, Brad.  We appreciate any help and support for our trip.  Come  treat your sweetheart to a good meal!<br />
The McLeod County East Dollars for Scholars Chowmein Dinner will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012<br />
from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the LP School Cafeteria.  The dinner includes Chicken Chowmein over Crisp<br />
Noodles, Egg Roll, White Rice, Ice Cream, Fortune Cookie and Beverage.  The cost is $6.00 for adults and<br />
$4.50 for children under 12.  This year the Dollars for Scholars will award 13 scholarships totaling $14,000 for<br />
2012 graduating seniors.  Please come and stay after dinner and support the Bulldog Basketball Team!<br />
The Lester Prairie School is participating in the Pennies for Patients campaign for the Leukemia Lymphoma<br />
Society.  Our school goal is to raise $2012 to help benefit Leukemia Lymphoma Society’s research of childhood<br />

<p>Snofest Activity Day is Wednesday, February 15th.  All students who have time to make up, have an outstanding<br />
detention, or have unpaid class dues may not participate in Activity Day.  Students in grades 6-12 who have 2 or<br />
more F’s may not participate in Activity Day unless the F’s are cleared by Tuesday, February 14th at 8:30 a.m.<br />
Also if you have one F and outstanding homework you may not participated unless it is cleared by 8:30 a.m. on<br />
Tuesday, Feb. 14th.  Teachers will submit ineligible student names to Mr. McNulty on the morning of Tuesday,<br />
February 14th.  Ineligible students will be assigned to teachers at school during Activity Day on Wednesday,<br />
February 15th. Students should sign-up in the office for Activity Day by 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10.  All<br />

<p align="left">Students are reminded to keep backpacks and gym bags out of the hallways on all floors and off the tops of lockers.  We have locker rooms for gym bags and plenty of empty lockers for backpacks.  From now on any bags left on the floor or on top of lockers will be brought to the office and you will have to pay a fine to get them back.</p>
<p align="left">The student council will be selling candy grams during lunch today.  Candy hearts will be $.50 a box or 3 for $1.00.  Sellers are Matthew Remer, Joe Otto, and Michael Tussing.</p>

Twenty LPHS students will be heading to Sawyer AFB in Gwinn, Michigan this summer for a mission trip.<br />
They will be hosting a Valentine&#8217;s Dinner on Sunday, February 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. Pauls<br />
Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie.  Tickets can be purchased at the door the day of the dinner.  All proceeds<br />
will go to help fund this Mission Trip.  LPHS students that will be going on this Mission Trip are Alex Kaluza,<br />
Krista Lange, Miranda Buesing, Jacob Paschke, Morgan Roush, Ryan Quast, Peyton Thiry, Zach Roth, Nick<br />
Machemehl, Spencer Radtke, Alex Heigl, Taylor Ziermann, Danielle Lohse, Courtney Scoblic, Emily Schnaer,<br />

The McLeod County East Dollars for Scholars Chowmein Dinner will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012<br />
from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the LP School Cafeteria.  The dinner includes Chicken Chowmein over Crisp<br />
Noodles, Egg Roll, White Rice, Ice Cream, Fortune Cookie and Beverage.  The cost is $6.00 for adults and<br />
$4.50 for children under 12.  This year the Dollars for Scholars will award 13 scholarships totaling $14,000 for<br />
2012 graduating seniors.  Please come and support this great organization and stay after dinner and support the<br />

<p>One-Act:  Mandatory meeting after school on Wednesday from 3:15 until we get done to clean up costumes and<br />
makeup. Please let Mrs. Buckentin know as soon as possible if you can&#8217;t be there so that you can schedule<br />
another time to do your part in cleaning backstage!</p>
<p>Financial Aid Night for Seniors and their parents will be held TONIGHT at 7:00 p.m. in the Lester Prairie<br />
Media Center.</p>

Noodles, Egg Roll, White Rice, Ice Cream, Fortune Cookie and Beverage.  The cost is $6.00 for adults and<br />
$4.50 for children under 12.  This year the Dollars for Scholars will award 13 scholarships totaling $14,000 for<br />

SNO-FEST</p>
<p>This announcement is for the 6-12 grade students.  First, a reminder that the week of February 13-17 is Sno-Fest<br />
week.  There will be a future announcement regarding the week’s schedule.  Sno-Fest falls under the same<br />

Cancer night. We are raising money for a teacher at New Life whose wife is battling cancer for the 2nd time.<br />
We are having a Change For A Cure bucket where we are having our kids bring loose change to donate and we<br />
are selling paper airplanes to have an airplane toss at halftime of our game.  Your fans are welcome to buy<br />
airplanes to win prizes but they do not have to feel obligated to do anything.  See you Friday.</p>

<p>Junior Class Pizza Delivery:  The pizzas will be delivered on Thursday, Feb. 2 at 10 am.  They will be unloaded<br />
in the shop class (thanks to Mr. Scoblic for allowing us to do that).  Class officers will be expected to help<br />
unload and sort the pizzas.  Students will be called down alphabetically to pick up their pizzas.  Please make<br />

SNO-FEST</p>
<p>This announcement is for the 6-12 grade students.  First, a reminder that the week of February 13-17 is Sno-Fest<br />
week.  There will be a future announcement regarding the week’s schedule.  Sno-Fest falls under the same<br />
jurisdiction as other school activities with regards to grades, and therefore, the policy is the same for Sno-Fest<br />
activities as it is for basketball, wrestling, etc.  Please see the handbook for the policy.  Also, if you have<br />
absentee time to make up for the first semester or an outstanding detention, you will not be allowed to<br />

<p>When is the last time you saw a high school wrestling match?  Well here is a great opportunity for you.  The<br />
GSLLP wrestling team is very excited to have its first LP home match since 2007.  This coming Tuesday night<br />
January 31st, the team will take on Mound-Westonka.  The junior varsity will start at 6:30 with the varsity to<br />
follow.  It will be alumni night so all past wrestlers, coaches and cheerleaders are encouraged to attend.  Please<br />
help us welcome our wrestlers back to LP with a gym full of fans and cheer them on to a victory.</p>

<p>Wow! We have 19 students signed up for the new Lester Prairie High School Trap Shooting Team.  That is<br />
AWESOME!  I am extending the deadline to sign-up.  If you are still interested in being part of the team, pick<br />
up a packet in the office or see Mr. Bjork for details.  The final sign-up day is now Friday February 3rd.  All<br />
forms and fees MUST be in by this date.  Please pay close attention to the fees for the team.  Also, make sure<br />
that you include a copy of your Firearms Safety Certificate from the MN DNR with all of the other forms.  See<br />
Mr. Bjork if you have questions.</p>
<p>Homework Help is available for grades 2-12 in the media center from 3-4 p.m. on Tues., Wed., and Thurs.</p>
<p>Holy Trinity will be hosting Family Fun Fest on Sunday, Jan. 29th at Holy Trinity Church, School Cafeteria and<br />
Gym, Winsted, MN from 11:00-1:30.  There will be games galore for the kids!!  These include Duck Pond,<br />
Bean Bag Toss, Balloon/Dart Game, Time Out Corral, Milk Bottle/Ball Toss, Painting, Free Throw Shoot,<br />
Football Toss, Putt Putt Golf, Feed the Elephant, Plinko, Ring Pop Toss, Velcro Ball Toss, Helium Balloons,<br />
Musical Chairs, Lollipop Tree, Hockey Puck Shoot, Softball Toss, Gunny Sack Races.  Tickets are 50¢ each, 12<br />
for $5.00 or 25 for $10.00.</p>
