On the Minnesota River at Jordan the reading is 28.77 ft. with a flood stage in Jordan
of 25 ft. The Jordan location indicates an approximate 0.01 ft decline since 4:30pm yesterday afternoon.

Crow River
Mayer Location:
o On the Crow River at Hwy. 7, the reading was 14.87 ft. with a flood stage at Mayer of 11 ft.

o The Mayer location indicates an approximate 0.30 ft. rise since 4:30pm
yesterday afternoon.

2011 Flood Update #42

Watertown Location (Manual Gauge)
o On the Crow River at the Co. Rd. 10 Bridge, the reading was 14.13 ft.

o The Watertown location indicates an approximate 0.28 ft. rise since 4:30pm yesterday afternoon.

Delano Location:
o On the Crow River at Delano, the reading was 18.11 ft. with a flood stage at Delano of 16.5ft.

o The Delano location indicates an approximate 0.42 ft. rise since 4:30pm
yesterday afternoon.

The current flood forecast from the National Weather Service indicates a crest level for the Crow
River at 15.3 ft. (Mayer reading) on or near Friday April 8th.

Carver, McLeod, and Wright counties included in flood emergency declaration

CARVER, McLEOD, AND WRIGHT COUNTY, MN – Carver, McLeod, and Wright counties are among 46 Minnesota counties included in an executive order declaring a state of emergency due to flooding signed by Governor Mark Dayton today.

Many areas along the Crow, Minnesota and Mississippi rivers in Minnesota are expecting a second spring flood crest and areas in Northern Minnesota along the Red River and its tributaries are preparing for near-record flooding the coming days.

The Department of Public Safety Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management will continue the activation of the Minnesota Emergency Operations Plan, continue the provision of on-site support and assistance to the affected local governments, and determine the need for supplementary disaster aid.

All state agencies are directed to continue to provide the assistance necessary to help local units of government respond to and recover from this emergency.

The Adjutant General of Minnesota will order to state active duty on or about April 6, 2011, in the service of the State, any personnel and equipment of the military forces of the State required to provide assistance in preparing for the emergency and in providing emergency relief services.

Mayer of 11 ft.

o The Mayer location indicates an approximate 0.48 ft. rise since 3:30pm
yesterday afternoon.

Watertown Location (Manual Gauge)
o On the Crow River at the Co. Rd. 10 Bridge, the reading was 13.68 ft.

o The Watertown location indicates an approximate 0.39 ft. rise since 3:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon.

Delano Location:
o On the Crow River at Delano, the reading was 17.66 ft. with a flood stage at
Delano of 16.5ft.

o The Delano location indicates an approximate 0.34 ft. rise since 3:30pm
yesterday afternoon.

The current flood forecast from the National Weather Service indicates a crest level for the Crow
River at 16.0 ft. (Mayer reading) on or near Friday April 8th.

WRIGHT COUNTY, MN – The Wright County Highway Department announced today that County Road 35, between County Road 6 and County Road 7, has been reopened (afternoon of Tuesday, April 5) and barricades have been removed.
