WAVERLY, MN – Until further notice, The City of Waverly will operate under a plan to deliver and continue only essential services while minimizing direct person-to-person contact with our employees. .
The City closed public access to facilities beginning March 16, 2020 until further notice. (The council will evaluate the situation and the State of Minnesota directions on an ongoing basis.) The City will continue to perform essential services as defined below and employees will be available by telephone and email during the facilities closure. We appreciate our resident’s patience and understanding of this decision.
Fire, Emergency Response and Medical Response:
If you have a fire or medical emergency, call 911. The non-emergency number at Wright County Sheriff’s Department is 763-682-1162.
The Waverly Volunteer Fire Department continues to be staffed and responding to calls as normal. As a precaution, the Fire Department may limit the number of persons responding to your medical emergency.

Water/Sewer Utilities: The City of Waverly Public Works will continue to operate, but the office is closed to the public. To reach Public Works for a matter concerning Water/Sewer Utilities, please call (763) 658-4217 and speak with Maintenance Supervisor Jason Karels
Utility Connections/disconnections and Payments: Utility Connections/disconnections can still be scheduled, call 763-658-1585 to schedule. With respect to your bill, the office staff at City Hall will be available to answer questions about your bill, but access to the office is closed to the public. Call (763) 658-4217 and ask for Alicia or Chris. Payments by either check or cash may be placed in the drop-box located immediately to the right of the door at City Hall. This deposits directly into the city office. If you would like a receipt, please indicate that on your envelope for payment and include an email or mailing address. Electronic Payments:

Building and Permitting:
The City’s Building Permit functions will continue its operation during this time. Building permits can be emailed to: email@example.com . If you have questions about building permits, would like to pick up a form (also available on the web site) or would like to make an electronic payment for a building permit, please call (763) 658-4217 for assistance.
Planning and Zoning:

Administration and Finance:
The City is continuing to operate its administrative and finance functions. Please contact City Hall with questions (763) 658-4217 during regular business hours Mon-Thurs 8am -5:30 pm and Friday 8am – noon.
Streets, Parks, Trails, Storm Water:
Waverly Public Works Department will continue to provide essential services. Please contact Waverly City Hall for matters related to these items: (763) 658-4217.
Village Hall and Legion Park Rentals
The City will not be able to rent either Village Hall or the Pavilion at Legion Park for any date until the government restriction on number allowed to gather is lifted. You can, however, inquire about rentals in May, June and later and should restrictions remain all deposits will be returned in full. Call Chris at City Hall (763) 658-4217 for information.
Use of the Council Meeting Room
Until further notice the Council Meeting Room will not be available for other than city/fire department meetings.
Council and Commission Meetings
The Waverly City Council will continue to meet in person (observing a six foot rule) until decided otherwise. If necessary the Council will meet by phone. Planning and Zoning will meet in March and make a decision about future meetings going forward. EDA will not meet until further notice, nor will the Parks Commission.
The Waverly Municipal Liquor Store
The Muni OFF Sale will remain open during the regular hours 9am-10pm. There is no plan at this time to shorten hours or to close. The ON Sale is closed until further notice.
