Windom defeated 0-15 Sleepy Eye 14-1 (that’s not a typo) Tuesday, setting up Thursday’s matchup between the Eagles and the Dragons.
The two teams did not face each other in the regular season. The Dragons finished the season 9-14-2, Windom had a winning record at 13-11-1. The two teams had three common opponents: New Ulm, Marshall, and Le Seuer-Henderson/St. Peter. L/DC was 2-1-1 against those teams, Windom was 1-2-1.
L/DC defeated St. Peter twice, tied Marshall in that 6-6 game, and lost to New Ulm. Windom also defeated St. Peter, lost to New Ulm, and tied and lost to Marshall. Minnesotascores.net’s QRF has the Dragons ranked third-highest in the section at 43, Windom is at 64.
