Nominations for the Dassel-Cokato Athletic Hall of Fame are now being accepted for individuals deserving of this honor.
All inductees must, during and following their career, have exemplified the pride and spirit that is Charger athletics, and cannot be current employees of the school district.
There are are three categories for nominees:
1. Player – An athlete that has excelled in athletics and has been out of school for at least ten years.
2. Coach – a coach that has made a positive impact on the Charger athletic tradition and has been out of coaching at DC at least two years.
3. At large – a member of the school or community who has had a positive impact on the DC athletic program.
Nomination forms can be picked up at the Activities Office in the DC High School, and are also available at all DC varsity events. They can also be found online at the Enterprise Dispatch web site, www.dasselcokato.com/sports.
All forms must be filled out and returned by Friday, Jan. 29. They can be brought in to the Activities Office or mailed to the following address: Perry Thinesen/Dassel-Cokato High School/4852 Reardon Ave. SW P.O. Box 1600/Cokato, MN 55321.
A committee of former DC coaches and community members will select nominees, and the induction ceremony will be held in the spring of 2010 at a date to be announced.
