CAMBRIDGE — Delano continued its run of mixing it up with some of the state’s best teams and wrestlers Jan. 24 when it competed at the Cambridge-Isanti Bluejacket Duals.
The Tigers proved they are some of those better wrestlers and make up one of the better teams in the state by winning their first two duals and battling their way to the championship match against host Cambridge-Isanti, the state’s fourth ranked team in Class AAA.

COKATO, MN – The Dassel-Cokato wrestling team hosted a triangular with New Prague and Wright County Conference opponent Waconia, Friday in Cokato, and split the action, winning one dual but losing the other.
The Chargers were able to pull off a narrow 32-30 victory over New Prague, but lost to the Wildcats 37-33.
Waconia also defeated New Prague 42-32 to sweep the triangular.

KIMBALL, MN – While most Dassel-Cokato high school male athletes choose to spend their winters on a court, on a mat, on ice, or in a pool, there are two young men who prefer to spend their time on a hill – a ski hill that is.
Seth Elmquist, a senior at DCHS, and his younger brother David, a sophomore, have been skiing for as long as they have been able to walk, and for the past two years they have been competitively skiing in the Minnesota State High School League.

COKATO, MN – Since the days of Cain and Abel, there has been sibling rivalry in the world.
While this ancient story of sibling rivals ends in murder, most are not so grave, and stay innocent in nature.
Such is the case for Dassel-Cokato seniors Kate and Zach Kaiser.
Kate and Zach, the twin children of John and Amy Kaiser, admit they can be very competitive with each other.
“Everything is like, ‘OK, Kate did this, now I have to do it,’ or ‘I did this, and now Kate has to do it,’” Zach said.

COKATO, MN – The boys’ swimming and diving dual between Orono/Mound-Westonka and Dassel-Cokato/Litchfield went down to the very last race Tuesday in Cokato.
The Chargers led 87-85 after the first 11 events, and with nothing but the 400-yard freestyle relay left, the win was up for grabs.
