Season in review

Ok, the winter sports season is over. Of all the DC teams, only two (boys’ swimming and wrestling) had winning records in the regular season. But the biggest thing I take from it was the postseason success that many of the individuals and teams saw. Dan Felt, Keeley McConkey, Tom Werner, and Tim Walker won the 200-yard freestyle relay at the Class A meet. They also took second in the 400-yarder.

My blogging has been slipping

Well, after doing a pretty good job of getting a blog up a week, I’ve missed posting a new one these past few weeks. Been pretty busy, but that is no excuse. So, without further delay, I’ll get to a new one right now. What I was thinking was, with March Madness now here, what is your favorite high school state tournament, and why? Mine is the state hockey tournament, for several reasons. First, I just enjoy the high level of competition. Second, the tradition is great. Lastly, you just never know when there could be a 3-overtime game, which ends when some fourth-winger, who has only 2 or 3 career goals, lights the lamp.
