McLEOD COUNTY, MN – If Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s efforts to balance the state budget hold fast, McLeod County will lose $241,360 in county program aid for 2009 and another $490,034 in 2010, the McLeod County Chronicle reported.
Those cuts come on top of a 2008 unallotment of $322,251.
McLeod County Auditor Cindy Schultz told the McLeod County Chronicle that the aid cuts were less than she had feared.
However, the 2009 cuts may not be final, and the governor could make another aid unallotment in December.
