McLEOD COUNTY, MN – A skydiver was injured Saturday (May 7) in a tandem jump, KDUZ reported.
KDUZ reported that according to the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred around 6:15 Saturday evening. A member of the Winsted Skydiving Club was tandem jumping with an experienced skydiver when the pair was forced off track due to a change in wind direction.
They attempted to land between two hangers south of Hutchinson, when their parachute became tangled on the edge of a hanger, causing one skydiver to hit the side of a building. That individual was taken to the Hutchinson Hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries is not available.
