Sheriff’s office says crime is down in Mayer

MAYER, MN – Mayer City Council reviewed the 2009 year-end report from the Carver County Sheriff’s Office during last Monday’s council meeting.
The report shows that in Mayer, as in other local cities and counties, crime was down in 2009.
Citations written in the city decreased from 44 in 2008 to 18 in 2009. Traffic stops were down from 200 in 2008 to 134 in 2009.
