McLEOD COUNTY, MN – McLeod County Sheriff Scott Rehmann announced today, Sept. 15, that he is retiring effective Tuesday, Sept. 22 after 14 years of service.
In a letter to the county commissioners and citizens of McLeod County, Rehmann stated, “I am retiring because I suffered a stroke on Aug. 30. The stroke affected the right side of my body and affects my ability to perform the essential functions of my job …”
Rehmann recommended that the county board appoint Chief Deputy Tim Langenfeld as sheriff for the remainder of his term. This is expected to be on the board agenda Tuesday, Oct. 6.
