The blaze began as a controlled burn, Langenfeld said, but it spread to become a grass fire and extended to a nearby machine shed. The shed and some equipment, as well as some round hay bales were lost, he noted.
The fire also damaged the edge of another nearby shed, but firefighters were able to save that structure.
Langenfeld said firefighters were on the scene for approximately four hours.
