Shape and Style in Howard Lake gets new look

HOWARD LAKE, MN – Shape and Style hair salon in Howard Lake received a makeover in the last year, including fresh wall coverings, new flooring, and new stations for the hair stylists.

Also added to the salon were tanning beds, and a massage therapist. All of the women who work at Shape and Style rent their stations and are self-employed.

“We’ve gotten a lot of nice comments about how it looks in here now,” said Candy Cardinal, one of the stylists.

The women have many years of experience in the business, including Patty Lehner, 26 years; Cardinal, 40 years; Joan Keskey, 31.5 years; Jenny Hatrick (masssage therapy), 11 years; and, Michelle Hofer, 26 years. Keskey is the newest member of the salon, coming from Sheer Image Design in Montrose.
