LESTER PRAIRIE, MN – The first running of the Lester Prairie Road Race was a success, according to organizer Mike Delaney of Endurance Promotions (see video below).
“It went really, really well,” Delaney said.
Nearly 150 bicyclists participated in the event, which was part of the three-day MN Memorial Classic.
“The participants said the course and the surroundings were favorable, and they would like to come back again next year,” Delaney said.
He added that the race was highly competitive, and the road and weather conditions made for a good event.
“Lester Prairie Police Officer Mark Anderson was extremely helpful, and kept things safe,” Delaney commented.
He said he also enjoyed working with City Clerk Marilyn Pawelk, and others who helped him in his preparations for the event.
He said he and the rest of his team, as well as the participants, enjoyed the small-town hospitality of the Lester Prairie community.
