Returning champion defends his title with 58 dunks

The dunk tank was again a popular draw at the Winsted Summer Festival, as defending Golden Towel Award champion Chad Engel was dunked Sunday afternoon (left). Engel regained his title, with 58 dunks, and reclaimed the Golden Towel Award. Royalty candidate Emma Neumann came in second place with 38 dunks. This is the third year in a row that Chad has won. The first winner was Bob Mochinski in 2005 with 37 dunks, then Chad in 2006 with 76 dunks, and Chad again in 2007 with 48 dunks. In other Summer Festival news, ambassador Brianna Ollig will attend Aquatennial next year. Button raffle winners were Kathy Rasset ($100), Dennis Rehmann ($50) and Logan Gross ($25).
