retribGROVE CITY, MN – State Rep. Dean Urdahl, who also happens to be a longtime history teacher, recently released a new book “Retribution,” which is the sequel to a previous book, “Uprising.”

Retribution is about the Dakota Conflict, which Urdahl refers to as the “darkest period in Minnesota history.”  The conflict took place in the Minnesota River Valley in the 1860s.  The book is a fictional account of the conflict, but heavily based on actual historical events and stories.

Urdahl taught American History for 35 years at New London-Spicer Middle School in New London.

Urdahl currently serves District 18B, which includes the cities of Annandale, Cokato, Howard Lake, and South Haven, and the townships of Cokato, Corinna, French Lake, Middleville, Stockholm, and Southside in Wright County, and extends west into Meeker County (covering all of Meeker).

Urdahl’s first book is available on Amazon.com.  This one will surely follow.
