The Mcleod County Board approved moving forward with jail improvements that could cost $1.5-million, according to the McLeod County Chronicle. The Chronicle reported that’s how much it could cost to bring the Mcleod County Jail into compliance with Minnesota Department of Corrections regulations and guidelines. Officials say the upgrades will be paid for out of money that the county levied for the new jail project that was abandoned last fall.
