An intruder (or possibly intruders) broke into the new Winsted city hall during Winstock weekend and, using what Winsted City Administrator Brent Mareck believes to be a broom handle, punched holes in the lower level Sheetrock. Mareck estimates the damage to be a day’s worth of work to repair, but because Sheetrock will need to be replaced, will require a week to complete the task. He does not see the work delaying the city staff’s move in date.
