Rash of burglaries continue

In Otsego, a resident interrupted a person burglarizing his house Dec. 19. With the help of his roommate, the resident subdued suspect Jerome E. Quellette of Otsego. Quellette told deputies that he recently lost his job and had broke into the house looking for some easy cash. Quellette was booked into the Wright County Jail on probable cause 1st Degree Burglary charges and Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana after a small baggy of marijuana was located in his pants pocket.

Previously, the Wright County Sheriff’s Office was busy tracking down suspects associated with burglaries in Maple Lake, when two businesses were burgled, Bonnie’s Maple Lake Café and the Video Closet, at the end of November.

Suspects were identified in the Maple Lake burglaries when the Wright County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 102 Birch Ave So, Apartment B, in Maple Lake. Located at the residence were John Wolney, Cody Niland, and a juvenile female. Investigators recovered videos believed to be taken during the burglary of the Video Close

During the investigation Detectives obtained statements and evidence linking Justin Wolney (age 19 of Maple Lake) and Cody Niland (age 19 of Maple Lake) to the Maple Lake Café and Video Closet burglaries.
