COLLINWOOD TOWNSHIP, MN - A Lester Prairie man working for Waste Management was found dead in Collinwood Township July 1 of what appears to be a medical condition, according to Meeker County Sheriff Jeff Norlin.
David H. Maas, 56, of rural Lester Prairie was found lying in the driveway of 21100 746th Avenue in Collinwood Township, spotted by a passerby. The owners of the residence were not home at the time, according to Norlin.
Meeker County deputies and Dassel Fire and Rescue Department arrived on scene and found Maas unresponsive lying next to a construction dumpster in the driveway.
It appears the employee was loading construction materials into a roll-off container when the incident occurred, according to the report.
Maas was pronounced dead at the scene and the incident does not appear suspicious.
The incident remains under investigation by the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office and the Medical Examiner’s Office.
