Thanks to some generous contributors and the Minnesota Disaster Relief Association, the Cokato Area Food Shelf has found a new home. Currently located in the basement of Elim Mission Church in Cokato, the food shelf will now be more accessible and have more space in the former Mike’s Transmission building - 395 Broadway South. The food shelf will be sharing part of the building with the local nonprofit volunteer service organization, Minnesota Disaster Relief. This will be a storage space and base for them, as well as a loading site for disaster relief trips like Hurricane Katrina.
