Summer services this week with Cokato Laestadian Lutheran

Laestadian Lutheran Church will host 2008 LLC Cokato Summer Services July 3-6.
Theme for summer services is “What shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?” (Mark 10:17).
First service is Thursday, July 3 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Dassel Cokato High School with Duane Pirness and Roger Plough.

Early newspaper deadlines this week

Early deadlines are in effect for the newspaper due to the July 4th holiday. Ads and copy for the July 7th newspaper are due at noon, Wednesday, July 2.
The Enterprise Dispatch office will close at noon Thursday, July 3  until Monday, July 7.

Accident occurs in Dassel

A property damage accident occurred June 16 at the intersection of 1st Street North and Parker Avenue West in Dassel.
Lori Ann Dvorak of Litchfield, while driving a 1995 Ford Taurus, was rear-ended by a 1989 Chevrolet driven by Kevin Hagen of Litchfield. No injuries were reported, according to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office.

Dassel resident victimized

A resident at 250th Street, Dassel, notified the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office about an Internet scam June 18 in which the victim lost $2,900.
The scammers, based in Iraq, had a fraudulent web site selling automobiles, Meeker County Sheriff’s Captain Brad Lindgren said.
The scammers used real vehicle identification numbers, but didn’t possess the vehicles they claimed to be selling. The price for the vehicle included shipping. When  an offer on the Internet for a large item includes shipping, this is a red flag the offer is a scam, Lindgren warned.

Collision occurs in Darwin

A collision occurred June 21 at the intersection of Highway 12 and Meeker County State Aid Highway 14 in Darwin.
Angela Sleffy of Minneapolis was driving a 1994 Ford Ranger when she pulled out into the intersection. The Ranger collided with a 1998 Ford Tempo driven by Susan Radunz of Spicer, who was heading west on Highway 12.
No one was injured in the accident, according to Meeker County Sheriff’s Office.

Music at Mushroom Building Friday

Entertainment is again planned for Friday, June 27 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Mushroom Building, Dassel. Lemonade, brownies and other treats will be available.

Music ministry at Stockholm Thursday

Stockholm Lutheran Church, Cokato will host a worship concert with Dave and Barb Anderson, in their 32nd year of music ministry Thursday, June 26 beginning at 7 p.m. Stockholm is located at 16133 Cty Rd 30 SW, Cokato.

Bloodmobile today in Cokato

The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Cokato Monday, June 23 from 1 to 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church.

Creation science seminar today

Discover the truth about dinosaurs, the Ice Age, and the real age of the earth in a seven-part video creation science seminar by Dr. Kent Hovind beginning Monday, June 23 at 6 p.m. at Cokato City Hall, and will continue the following two Mondays, June 30, and July 7.

Music at the Twine Ball today
