Scout troop breakfast Sunday
The local Boy Scouts of America Troop 273 will be hosting a pancake
breakfast Sunday, June 15 at the Delano American Legion.
The menu will include pancakes, sausage, juice, milk, and coffee, and
will be served from 7:30 to 11 a.m. The cost is $6.50 for adults and
$3 for children 12 and under.
All proceeds will go to support the troop activities, including local
service projects, summer camp, and a 2009 High Adventure Camp in the
Florida Keys.
Love INC Clothing Sale is Saturday
Love INC opens the doors of its Love’s Family Closet clothing ministry
for its monthly public sale Saturday, June 14 from 9 a.m. until noon.
The clothing sale is at Love INC offices on Highway 12, Delano, just
one block north of the Wright County Road 30 stoplight.

Delano Senior Center hosts pork chop BBQ Thurs.
Delano residents are encouraged to join the Delano Senior Center
Thursday, June 12 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. for an evening out to enjoy a
deliciou pork chop dinner with all the trimmings. Pork chops will be
grilled by Wright County Pork Producers.
The Delano Royalty and 2008-09 queen candidates will be on hand to
greet, meet, and assist with serving all guests. Enjoy music by B.A.D.
Karaoke.

Salad luncheon Tues. at Delano United Methodist
An annual salad luncheon will be served at the Delano United Methodist
Church, located at 3310 County Line Road, Tuesday, June 10. Servicng
will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The menu will include a variety of salads, bread sticks, bars. and
beverages. Take-out lunches available.
Golf tournament set for today
The Delano Lions will be hosting a golf tournament at Pioneer Creek
Golf Course today, June 9.
The event will include a 12:30 p.m. tee time, with a scramble format
of teams of four.

The Red Cross bloodmobile is in Delano today, Monday, June 2, from 1 to 7 p.m. at Mt. Olive Lutheran School, located at 435 East Bridge Avenue.
Blood donations are especially needed during the summer, when more accidents occur as a result of summertime travel.
The process takes about an hour – donors register, have blood checked, and donate if able.

The Delano Royalty Organization will be hosting its annual car wash Saturday, June 7 from 9 a.m. to noon at Delano Methodist Church, located on County Line Road.
