ORDINANCE: 119
ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING
THE SALARIES OF
THE COUNCIL MEMBERS AND MAYOR
Repeals Ordinance No. 72
WHEREAS, The Council of the City of New Germany recommends salary adjustments and clarification of per diem allotments and Ordinance 119 will repeal Ordinance 72 of January 1, 1999. All meetings have been increased $25.00 per meeting from the January 1, 1999 Ordinance #72.
WHEREAS, by law under MN Statute 415.11, Subd. 2, changes in salary must be approved prior to regular City elections to take effect January following said elections,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of New Germany, Carver County, State of Minnesota, herby ordains as the follows:
Section 1. The salaries of the Council shall receive per council attended $80.00 per month and $40.00 per special meeting for serving on the council and performing all duties associated with the office.
Section 2. The salary of the Mayor shall receive per council attended $90.00 per month and $40.00 per special meetings for serving as Mayor and performing all duties associated with the office.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage and publication as provided by MN Statute 415.11.
Adopted by the New Germany City Council this 1of November 2022.
