It was one of those mornings. You open the metro newspaper, your eyes widen, you say to your spouse, “Wow! Did you see this?” The people of St. Bonifacius prefer to be a part of Carver County, than their own county, Hennepin County. What a wonderful compliment to Carver County officials! I bet that made their day when they heard the news. I remember when I worked in St. Boni during the ’90s, I was surprised it was part of Hennepin County. St. Boni has the “feel” of a Carver County town. It is only a hop, skip and a jump from Lake Waconia. I doubt if Hennepin County officials will change the boundaries for them, though. It’s unlikely they will let all those taxable people and properties go to a neighboring county. I sympathize with the people of St. Boni completely.
