CARVER, MN – Carver City Council welcomes Mills Fleet Farm as the first major retail development in its 212 Freeway Commercial District.

Mills Fleet Farm officially opened for business June 28, at 1935 Levi Griffin Road in Carver. The Mills development features nearly six acres of retail space in their main store, in addition to a convenience store, gas station and car wash. The project was facilitated by the construction of Levi Griffin Road, a new four-lane collector street, which was a collaborative effort between the city of Carver, Carver County, Mills Fleet Farm, and several adjacent property owners. In addition to the new Mills Fleet Farm, the construction of Levi Griffin Road opens up nearly one-hundred acres in Carver’s new 212 Freeway Commercial District. Mayor Greg Osterdyk said of the recent Mills Fleet Farm opening, “The city of Carver is honored to be home to a first class, family owned, and community friendly business like Mills Fleet Farm. The city envisions the development of Mills Fleet Farm will provide the first of several new employment opportunities and retail options for residents of Carver and the surrounding area.” For more information on the new 212 Freeway Commercial District in Carver, contact Brent Mareck, Carver city administrator at (952) 448-5353.
