McLeod County law enforcement scholarship announced

McLEOD COUNTY, MN – The McLeod County Police and Peace Officers Association has announced a scholarship to be given to a student currently enrolled in a program in law enforcement or related field.
A $500 scholarship will be awarded annually to a second year or higher college student with a good academic record and who is or has had “permanent” residency within McLeod County.
Students who have demonstrated the desire to pursue a career in law enforcement or a related field as their chosen profession are encouraged to apply.
The application process includes the submission of the student’s transcripts, cover letter and resume outlining work history, volunteer work, and academics. Upon receipt of applications, qualified applicants may be required to submit an essay work and or interview with the association board. Applications must be received or postmarked by January 11 in order to be eligible.
