The charter committee for a possible Ecology Club here at Mayer Lutheran will be holding an organizational meeting after school on Friday this week. We will meet in Mr. Loontjer’s room and discuss the possibility of starting such a group here at MLHS. Students from all levels are welcome at the meeting.

Health Note from our school nurse Amy Tollefson, RN …Make sure you are replenishing your body’s water losses daily. On average drinking about 8-10 glasses (eight-8 oz cups =1.8 liters) of water will help maintain hydration. More is needed if exercising and/or climate (hot or cold). If you feel chilled indoors it could be due to dehydration.

Amy Tollefson, RN will be at MLHS today after 10:30, if you have questions for her.

Crusaders for a Cure will also be accepting donations throughout the week in the form of a class competition. We will have jars available before school and at lunch. Remember coins count for your class, while bills count against the total. This competition will run until February 1. The winning class will be served a formal lunch on Thursday, including a big cookie. In appreciation of your donation, the girls basketball team will give you a Crusaders for a Cure pink bracelet. Thanks for supporting this cause!
