Mayer 15 year old hospitalized after being hit by a car while riding bike

The Carver County Sheriff’s office reports that at 6:17 p.m. on Aug. 3, 2022, his Office
received a 911 call of a personal injury crash involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian on
Highway 25 at Hidden Creek Boulevard in the City of Mayer, MN.

Deputies arrived on the scene and learned that a 15-year-old juvenile male from Mayer, MN was hit by a motor vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 25. The juvenile male was crossing at the intersection and did not use the pedestrian-activated rapid flashing beacons installed at the crosswalk.

The driver of the southbound vehicle is a 19-year-old female from Minnetrista, MN, who stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The juvenile male suffered a non-life-threatening injury and was transported to Ridgeview Medical Center.

The Mayer Fire Department, Ridgeview Ambulance, and the Carver County Sheriff’s Office
responded to the scene. This crash remains under investigation by the Carver County Sheriff’s
Office.
