Man arrested in Carver County on multiple warrants, including from McLeod County

CARVERCOUNTY, MN –

Carver County Sheriff Jason Kamerud issued a press release  noting that Sept. 5 at 9:11 p.m. his office received a 9-1-1 call regarding a threats complaint at 10525 County Road 36, Cologne, MN 55322. The suspect fled on a motorcycle prior to deputies arrival.
Carver County Sheriff’s Deputies received a call to the same residence Sept. 6 for a report of
a fugitive hiding at the residence. It was also reported that the suspect was in possession of a stolen
motorcycle and a handgun. The Carver County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the McCleod County
Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Conservation
Officers, as well as Mdwwakanton Public Safety Department. The suspect fled on foot and was not
located on this date.
The suspect was identified as Taylor Patrick Sells, 32, of Bemidji. Sheriff’s Deputies
learned that Sells had active warrants from multiple locations:
 Hubbard County: Felony Escape from Custody, Domestics Assault, Possession of Firearm and
Reckless Discharge of a Firearm
 McLeod County: Felon in Possession of a Firearm, 5th Degree Assault
 Carver County: Domestic Assault
Carver County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the residence at 10525 County Road 36, Cologne, MN
55322 Sept. 19 just after 10 a.m. to serve the arrest warrants. A thorough search of the residence and
numerous outbuildings was conducted. Sells was located hiding in a wooded area and he was in
possession of a loaded firearm. He was arrested for the previously mentioned warrants and is currently at
the Carver County Jail. He also is charged with receiving stolen property. Kyra Elizabeth Storberg, 29, of Cologne, was also arrested and charged with obstruction of the legal process and
aiding an offender. She is also currently at the Carver County Jail.
