Litchfield High School student Kaden Thomas of Cosmos was killed in a car accident this past weekend. The Wright County Sheriff’s Department said Saturday morning at 1:12, deputies were dispatched to a single motor vehicle crash near 7832 Nevens Avenue NW. A car was traveling north on Nevens Avenue from Harrison Street, left the road and hit a tree.
16-year-old Thomas was driving and was pronounced dead at the scene. Three passengers in the vehicle were injured. A 17-year-old from Watkins and 19-year-old Nicholas Rohlik from Spicer were transported by ambulance to the St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Another juvenile, a 17-year-old from Grove City was extricated from the vehicle and airlifted to HCMC with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say the group had recently left a residence in Annandale. The incident is under further investigation by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
